Functions ON-OFF | Thumbnail function | Turns on / off the function to display thumbnails of folders. If turned off, the pre-installed functions will be used. It can be turned ON / OFF for each file extension. |
Preview function | Turns on / off the folder preview function. If turned off, the pre-installed preview function will be used. It can be turned ON / OFF for each file extension.
Legacy provider | In case of the movie which the thumbnail is not specified. If this is ON, the thumbnail will be generated using the legacy provider. If it is OFF, the thumbnail will be generated from default position frame*2. It can be turned ON / OFF for each file extension.
ADS cache | Set the thumbnail cache function by ThumbnailCity. When enabled, if the cache on the OS side is deleted, thumbnails can be redisplayed in a short time without having to be regenerated. It’s effective only movies in NTFS or ReFS. Cache uses approximately 100 [KB] per movie of disk space when compressed, and approximately 1 [MB] per movie when uncompressed. The cache will be invalidated if you change the settings related to thumbnail generation and will need to be regenerated.
API Priority | Specify the priority of the API used when decode movies, such as when generating thumbnails. Select an item with the mouse or the up/down keys, and move the item priority using the up/down arrow buttons or the PageUp/PageDown keys.
Use non-exclusive file access for libVLC | When generating a still image from a movie using libVLC, if it is Off, the movie may not be displayed in the WMP Plugin or viewer while playing the video in WMP. If it is On, some movie such as WMV may not be decoded correctly.
Default position | In case of the movie which the thumbnail is not specified and Legacy provider is OFF or failed, ThumbnailCIty will generate a thumbnail from this position of the movie frame. The unit is milliseconds. If the duration of the movie is shorter than the this position, the end of the movie frame will be thumbnailed.
Frame of movie | Manage by ThumbnailCity | If ON, disables the function to add frames(sprocket) with Shell and enables the function to manage movie frames with ThumbnailCity. The frame added by ThumbnailCity is made so that it does not overlap with the image, so the thumbnail will not be cut off. |
Landscape | Specify the position to add a frame if the movie is a landscape image.
Portrait | Specify the position to add a frame if the movie is a portrait image.
Context menu access key | This character will be set to the access key for folder context menu item. Default is “T” in “Assign thumbnail (T)”. Only alphanumeric characters can be specified.
Preview | Supplement images as key frames | If ON, the supplement images displayed in the preview are limited to key frames. If OFF, it makes slow down the preview display generally. |
Action for double-clicking | Specifies behavior when you double-click a reduced image in the preview.
Purge OS cache | Clear the OS thumbnail cache. Press the button and it will be erased instantly. |
When you change system settings, the thumbnails displayed in folders may not change immediately. Thumbnails are changed by clearing the OS cache or updating the cache using ThumbRef.
